Special area grafting

Sideburn grafting

The sideburns are highly visible, which makes density and graft direction unusually important.

Grafted carelessly, the hair goes in at far too steep an angle and grows out in a direction that suits nothing.

Left Hand

Precise use of the left hand

Skin that slides

The skin at the sideburns is tough and slides easily under no tension, so without precise use of the left hand you cannot place a graft at the depth and angle you want.

The index finger on Director Jaemin Lee’s left hand is in fact bent outward from years of this work.

The left hand matters as much as the right

While the right hand grafts, the left reads the elasticity of the skin and pulls it flat. The depth and angle only come out right when the two work together.
