Cross-section of a follicle and its blood supply

Scar grafting

Reasonable and honest

Skin that has been wounded and healed looks different from normal skin even at a glance.

One of the most important factors in graft survival is a rich blood supply. Scar tissue is poorly vascularised, so survival rates there are inevitably lower than in normal tissue.

Control

Micro needle control

Popping happens easily in scars

Scar tissue is inelastic and hard, so popping, where a placed graft pushes back out, happens easily.

With an implanter, popping can be triggered by the smallest difference in pressure or insertion speed. A surgeon without the experience cannot control it and ends up grafting at a very low density.

A hand that bleeds little

Mowoolim doctors work with strikingly little bleeding even in routine grafting, and that needle control counts for even more when grafting into scar.
